This part can operate on a single battery. The output is configured as a switch that detects the level of the magnetic field. The output turns on at a specified magnetic field strength and turns off when the magnetic field is removed. There are two types of output configurations: current sink and current source. Both configurations can supply current up to 100μA. External pull-up or pull-down resistors are required. These devices are available in NVE's MSOP8 or TDFN6 packages, as well as in die form.
Bipolar operation (ON in S magnetic field, OFF in N magnetic field), high sensitivity, operates in very small magnetic fields.

This material holds the sensor at the operating point when a negative (S pole) magnetic field is applied and holds it at the release point when a positive (N pole) magnetic field is applied. This sensor is ideal for applications such as magnetic encoders with rotating N and S poles, where a part turns on with one polarity of the magnetic field and turns off with the opposite polarity.

Configured as a magnetic switch, the output turns ON when a magnetic field is applied and turns OFF when the magnetic field is removed. The applied magnetic field can be of either polarity, and the operating point is very stable with respect to supply voltage and temperature.
